NCI & NTL to announce launch of Internet TV service in UK

15-JAN-99 (Ruel.Net) -- Sources say NCI and NTL will make an official announcement on Monday in London regarding the NTL launch of Internet TV services in the United Kingdom. Sources also say NTL will be using the NCI Connect network server and providing Acer set-top boxes using the NCI TV Navigator software. NTL provides integrated cable and telephony service via a high-speed fiber network in the UK. With the new interactive TV services, NTL customers in the UK will be able to view television and Internet content simultaneously. NCI has the UK's Cable & Wireless as well as NTL as NCI's major UK telco clients.
