Showtime Networks Study: TV meets Web in 25M telewebber households,

Mediapost quotes the Showtime Networks study as finding simultaneous telewebber co-usage
of TV and PC "occurs most often among three programming types: news at 31%, sitcoms at 30%,
and sports at 30%."

The Age cites the July 2000 survey of UK households by Oftel as finding:
(1) 1 in 4 UK households with digital TV got digital TV because of free set-tops;
(2) 77% of UK households with digital TV subscribed to extra channels, 60% got interactive services, 34%
had email and internet services, and 15% watch free TV and did not subscribe to any extra services;
(3) 1 in 5 UK households with digital TV actually use the interactive services, email, and internet that they have access to; and
(4) 3 in 5 UK households with digital TV found the EPG to be a popular service, and almost 50% used favorites (aka bookmarks).
