This is currently a page of screenshots of Showshifter 3.0 (and 2.10) as taken by Ruel who has been watching a lot of TV. It's been taking a while for Ruel to get around to updating this PVR section of the PC-TV pages, but for now here are a bunch of screenshots to give you an idea as how Ruel has been using the software for quite some time. If you can see how much enjoyment from watching TV that you can get from this type of software, then you can understand why there has been such a great delay in updating these pages.
FYI, although Ruel does have Showshifter 3.0, he went back to Showshifter 2.10 because the ShowGuide EPG in Showshifter 3.0 is still a clumsy EPG and can still be considered to be in early development. Showshifter 2.10, without the built-in EPG, can be used for watching regular live TV and also for recording with Showshifter's VCR-like controls. Also Showshifter, whether version 3.0 or version 2.10, can also be used with the separate standalone DigiGuide as the EPG or with the online TitanTV as the EPG.

Showshifter 3.0 does come with ShowGuide as a built-in Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
You are required to set up XMLTV to get the TV listings data. Also, you will have to rearrange
the channel listings in XMLTV. You can consider ShowGuide to still be in early development.
When you have the XMLTV working for Showshifter 3's ShowGuide EPG,
you will also get to see the TV show information when changing channels.
Showshifter 2.10, without the ShowGuide EPG, will show
the channel number/name without any show information.
You can also your video recordings in Showshifter - whether you
made the recordings with Showshifter or with another program.
You can view all of your digital pictures and photos in Showshifter.
You can also play your MP3 music files and albums in Showshifter.
