I have posted this page because over the years I've received a *TON* of email from too many individuals who have asked persistent questions about illegal cable TV access and illegal satellite TV access. To Everyone Who Has Those Type of Questions: I'm sorry but I simply do NOT know about such things.

Please note that each point on this disclaimer page is in response to emails I have received over the years since 1996. The typical email will ask, "Do you have a software descrambler or hardware descrambler or do you know how to change the software so I can watch premium or pay-per-view TV channels on cable TV or satellite TV without paying for them?" And every once in a while, someone would ask about illegal access cards. And then there are the questions asking about how to hack a cable modem to get cable TV signals. Etc. I do NOT have those, I do NOT know where to get them, and I do NOT know about changing-fixing-tweaking-hacking hardware or software to get illegal cable TV or illegal satellite TV. I Simply Do Not Know.

AND SORRY BUT I SERIOUSLY CANNOT TAKE THE TIME TO CONFIRM ANY OF THE RUMORS BY PEOPLE WHO INSIST ON CLAIMING IN THEIR EMAIL ABOUT SUCH ILLEGAL THINGS.

Perhaps not too surprisingly, I've received most of these questions from various people visiting the PC-TV side of the website. But recently, I've been getting similar questions from various people visiting the set-top side of the website. And then there are those various individuals who are really insistent on getting a satisfying positive answer to their questions with regard to this particular subject area. The only answer you are going to get is what you are reading here on this page that you are reading right now. Also, if you've obtained a home satellite dish and you are now asking about which decoder box to get, well, my suggestion is that you get the official box that is officially provided by whichever satellite TV company you want to get service from which means signing up for officially authorized service. And for those who say they have a VCR or another box of some sort that used to let them get regular channels and premium pay channels at their old home but now does not get anything at their new home which they've just moved to, well, since you are at your new home where your box does not work then my suggestion is that you go to your official cable TV company and ask that officially authorized service with the official equipment be turned on for your new home.

To those asking about illegal satellite decoder cards, I do NOT know where to get them or whether they can be used for DirecTV (or for any other satellite service) in your country or in any country where DirecTV (or any other satellite subscription service) may be available. I do NOT have that information and I do NOT seek out that information. To repeat, the answer that I kindly give to you for these type of questions is the same for everyone: I'm Sorry, But I Simply Do Not Know.

To those asking about satellite ECM filters, I do NOT know anything about ECM and I do NOT know how to prevent your satellite box from getting fried. I do NOT have that information and I do NOT seek out that information. To those asking about how to record / save encrypted video to decode later, I do NOT know how to do that. Again, to repeat the answer that I kindly give for these type of questions: I'm Sorry, But I Simply Do Not Know. Instead, I would kindly suggest that you sign up for and pay for the officially authorized service from the cable TV company or the satellite TV company you are trying to get a signal from.

Please note that there are NO illegal hardware descrambler links and NO illegal software descramber links provided here. And if you are asking for illegal counterfeit access cards for cable or satellite boxes, NO such illegal access cards are provided here. And there are NO links and NO information about hacking cable lines, set-top boxes, cable converter boxes, or cable modems provided here. You will have to ask your cable TV company or your satellite TV company for any legitimate descramblers, hardware, or access card. Please kindly note that this website does NOT promote illegal cable or satellite descrambling or hacking (or any so-called "hobbyist-educational" testing of descrambling).

Also, I do NOT know about and I do NOT seek out any software cable-satellite descrambers for TV Tuner cards. And for those who ask about tweaking or hacking the default software that comes with TV Tuner cards to get the pay-per-view and premium channels without paying for them, and to those who claim that there is actually software for descrambling cable TV signals and satellite TV signals, I DON'T THINK THAT'S POSSIBLE and I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT and I would tell you that I simply have NO IDEA and I also DON'T CARE about as to how to do any of that particularly if you are talking about illegally stealing cable TV and satellite TV signals. For those who are so desperate for finding out how to steal pay TV, I would kindly suggest that if you pay to legitimately get premium channels and pay-per-view, then you should get them -OR- you may want to settle for free over-the-air antenna TV.

And for those who are asking about digital / analog cable frequencies, you're better off contacting your local cable provider. If you are asking about digital cable frequency information, keep in mind that any information you may find may be useless to you since you will still need an authorized digital cable box from your local cable provider to handle any digital encryption that may have been added to further scramble the signal. Also, keep in mind that each cable carrier tends to have different specifications so anything you may find on the net may not be applicable to your cable carrier.

If you really insist on sending email asking about illegitimate descramblers/decoders, getting illegitimate access cards, tweaking software, hacking cable or satellite hardware, etc. to get cable and satellite television premium channels and pay-per-view without paying for them, the plain and simple "answer" that I would kindly give you and that I am kindly giving you right now is I SIMPLY DON'T KNOW and you will have to search elsewhere to find your answers.

If you are broke poor, don't have the money to spend on cable TV or satellite TV, and you really want TV reception, then I would kindly suggest that free-to-air broadcast TV with a rabbit ears antenna (or using a metal clothes hanger as a make-shift TV antenna) is still good television if you don't want to pay or if you don't have anyone else to pay for you getting cable or satellite TV. For those of you who are in an apartment building or in some other housing complex and who think that your neighors are getting cable TV without paying for it and how you think that is causing problems for your cable TV service:  Since your neighbors could probably be paying the full amount for whatever cable TV they are getting because you really may not know what they are actually paying for, then you may instead probably want to call your local cable TV company and tell them about your specific problems with receiving channels (or about getting any strange pictures) that you don't want on your TV screen -- and let the cable TV company take it from there and to at least solve the problem for your TV. (And for those who are complaining about noise in your building when you are watching TV, you may want to complain to the building management people about any noise problems since the noise problems could be building-related and not TV-related and not related to whether anyone else in your building is getting illegal TV.) Again, I have to say I SIMPLY DON'T KNOW what to tell you other than what you read on this page ... and you are on your own in finding an answer or a solution to whatever you are asking about with regard to this overall issue area.
